4 million battery-operated vehicles have been electrifying Bangladeshi roads since 2008 with 150-year-old technology that isn’t scaling anymore, is scattered, expensive, and dreadfully slow compared to the world.
However, for the industry zero to Infinity scale, the energy problem needs to be simplified.
Meet Our Founders
Nahid’s journey didn’t begin with energy; it started with a vision to create a sustainable future for current and future generations. He believed that building an impact-first business was the path to achieving this vision.
In 2016, he launched his first company, “Forest For Home,” which unfortunately closed in 2018. Undeterred, he founded his second venture, “Greener Grow,” which also came to an end in 2021. After these two setbacks, Nahid spent a year exploring the energy industry. This period of reflection helped him realize his true goal: to create something that would unlock freedom for EVs in Bangladesh and make a tangible impact on climate and sustainable energy.
With this vision, Nahid reached out to Arefin and Sanjid, both passionate product builders dedicated to impact, along with Asif Ahnaf, an experienced professional with 8 years in the industry. He convinced Arefin and Sanjid to put their plans on hold, and over a pizza, an idea began to take shape. Together, they envisioned making energy accessible and straightforward, especially for EVs—and thus, ZEROOZEN was born.
